MATT "MJ" JONES
Matthew "MJ" Jones, originally from Kansas, moved to the Bay Area via Florida. While in the Sunshine State, he spent 5 years fishing the flats and surf for reds, snook, and jacks. Now living in the heart of San Francisco's famous Haight Ashbury neighborhood (literally steps away from the Grateful Dead's first house), you can find MJ hunting trout in the rich waters of Northern California from the coast to the Sierra, casting to more exotic saltwater species when he finds time to travel, and occasionally tossing some streamers to local striped bass in the vast Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. In the shop, MJ spends most of his time outfitting our customers' gear to the Leland Rigging Standard, teaching fly tying classes, and helping out customers find answers to their questions.
