Truckee River Fishing Report

Truckee River Fly Fishing
Fishing the Truckee has been great! In the mornings fish a Green Drake with a Black Copper John dropper. About Noon tie on a Caddis Pupa and fish the faster pocket water. The Green Drakes have yet to show up in full force however it has to be just down the road. The Caddis have been coming of in the evenings!

Little Truckee Fishing Report

Little Truckee Fish
Flows have been perfect all Spring. If you can get away from the crowds you will get fish looking up on a carpenter ant. Add a Baetis dropper for a little more excitement.

Yuba River Fishing Report

Drifting the Yuba River

The water has clearup, keep an eye out for Scwala stones, PMD’s, and Baetis are all available with air temperatures dictating which will be more available on any given day. If it’s a warmer day, look for scwalas to be active, and if it’s overcast and cooler, expect to see Baetis. Don’t be in a big hurry to strap on an indicator and nymph-rig…fish the quiet water with a dry!

Trinity River Fishing Report  

Trinity River Steelhead
Kings are making a big up river push but the flows a re in the fishble range. We went up this last weekend and caught a nice 8lb wild steelie and it was chrome and hot!

Lower Sacramento Fishing Report 

Lower Sacramento Fly Fishing
The Lower Sac has been Fishing much better in the last few days. The Bonny to Anderson float has been fishing really well! Rubberlegs have been grabbing fish all day! Quite a few drift boats have been sinking on 44 bridge. DO NOT FLOAT THE UPPER SECTION  IF YOU'RE NOT AN EXPERIENCED OARSMAN.

Shad? Yes, Lots of them! Paridise, Watt ave, Rosemore all seem to be the hot spots. Remember when the shad come in so do the people!
