Every once in a while a product is developed that not only changes the paradigm, but when Bill Merg introduced the first Rite™ Bobbin for fly tying in 1993 from his post in Sunnyvale, CA, the paradigm was literally shot out of the sky. Bill’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering and experience as a master fly tyer came together in a burst of creativity and ultimately produced a revolutionary tool for fly tyers across the globe. With help from his wife Eva, Bill Merg perfected his design and built a successful business in manufacturing and distributing the most advanced fly tying bobbins the world has ever seen.
Since July, 2006, Lyle Graff has taken over the business and has continued to grow and nurture its success by expanding the line of bobbins and marketing them to the world via the internet, all from the beautiful town of Nye, Montana.
