Winston introduced the use of boron into fly rod manufacturing more than 10years back. With the introduction of the Winston Boron II several years back, R. L. Winston Fly Rod entered a new era of fly rod design consisting faster action fly rods that are light weight, generate very fast line speeds and have a quick loading tip. The Boron II-MX fly fishing rod series carries all these traits but now adds the increased strength to cast heavy sinking lines and larger flies typically needed for saltwater fishing as well as the strength needed to carry large lengths of fly line. These fast action rods are designed specifically for the demanding conditions of the saltwater environment.
