In December 2008, Solid Adventures (Loop Adventures) in cooperation with Planet Fly Fishing and Casa Batida, took over the management of the fishing area on the north coast of Villa Clara province in Central Cuba in the west sector of Jardines del Rey. Unesco has declared this region a reserve of the biosphere, effectively making the Solid Adventures fly fishing in Cuba some of the premier saltwater fishing in the world. The area around Santa Maria is beautiful and features with channels, mangroves and flats for a diverse destination and memorable trip.

Solid Adventures at Santa Maria is high-octane fly fishing at its finest! Precise, fast casting is the medicine for catching monster fish. Fish from 10 to 80 pounds are present all year long and very big migrating tarpons up to 160 lbs start to show up to Santa Maria in great numbers from March onwards. Classic sight flats fishing combined with chances in the mangroves and channels when weather or tide is wrong for flats makes the Solid Adventures Experience dynamic and exciting.
