Fly Fishing Writer:
As the leading fly fishing retail store in the heart of San Francisco, just off Union Square, we are seeking an outgoing English or History major/minor student to join our customer service team. The Applicant will exercise a high level of skill with the written word, as well as advanced computer knowledge. Applicants must also have excellent people skills, must be team oriented and although not a must, it would be helpful to have a knowledge of fly fishing and fly fishing equipment.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develop merchandising descriptions by telling the story of the product
- Harvest merchandising descriptions from our vendor sites
- Assist with maintenance of selling sites
- Track and report site performance
- Interact with customers interested in Leland
- Telephone customer service
Starting pay is $11.50 an hour.
Online Sales:
Are you looking for a great job in the fly fishing industry? As a leader in the fly fishing industry, we are seeking outgoing sales people to join our team. Applicant must be well spoken as well as have advanced computer knowledge. Applicant must also have excellent people skills, must be team oriented. Applicant should have basic knowledge of fly fishing techniques and equipment.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Telephone Sales
- Telephone Customer Service
- Email Correspondence with Customers
- Product Research and Recommendations for Clients
- Personal Shopping for Customers
- Timely Order Fulfillment and Follow Up
This is a full-time employment opportunity for any applicant that proves, over the course of our standard 3 month trial, that we just can’t live without you! We are always looking for qualified team members.
Starting pay is $10/hour plus sales commission
casting instructor:
Our Leland Sonoma Fly Fishing Education Center, Located in Sonoma, CA. (www.LelandRanch.com) Is looking for an experienced fly fishing enthusiast to teach at our educational ranch. Applicant must be well
spoken as well as have advanced fly fishing knowledge. Applicant must also
have excellent people skills, must be team oriented. Applicant MUST be willing to learn and teach the Leland Casting Method exclusively. We understand there are many methods of teaching casting, but we have built a reputation and pride based on our easy to learn and effective technique. A desire to achieve the Fly Fishing Federation Casting Instructor and Master Caster certifications is strongly encouraged...we will help get you there!
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Casting and Fishing Classes
- Scheduling Students/Maintaining Class Calendar
- Follow Up/Nurturing Student and Customer Relationships
- Maintaining Equipment
- Half Day Fishing Trips
- Telephone customer service
- Personal Shopping for Students
