Do you need absolute control under adverse trout fishing conditions? Wind? Big Bugs? Long distance? The new G. Loomis Max GLX Fly Fishing Rods are designed for ultimate control over your fly line, and fly, regardless of what Mother Nature throws at you. When it’s time to step-up and show your casting prowess, grab one of the G. Loomis Max GLX fly rods and let it rip! These three 9’ 4, 5, and 6 weight fly rods have a super-fast action and are capable of generating extreme line speeds for maximum distance and power in tough situations for trout, light steelhead, smallmouth and light saltwater. And who better to design the ultimate distance light tackle fly rod series than World Casting Champion Steve Rajeff and the guys at Loomis? Steve has been called the “Terminator” of fly casting competition and has held the American All-Around Casting Championship Title for an unbelievable 34 years in a row!! Oh, and he’s also been World Champion 13 times…and it’s only held every two years!

As you increase the distance between your fly and rod tip the faster you have to be with the hook set. You’re battling more than just forces of reaction time at this point. You need a fly rod that will react the instance you move the tip; you need the G. Loomis Max GLX fly rod series. There are a lot of fast to extra fast action fly rods on the market today but few fly rods have the strength and the power to support multi-fly systems and longer casts while providing the caster the feedback needed to control these casting land mines. The G. Loomis Max GLX fly rod series pulls this maneuver off par-excellence. These are not some lifeless sticks, but are on the contrary extra fast action fly rods that are as much of a delight to fish as they are to cast.

G. Loomis has been no stranger to using cutting edge technology and design to bring you fly rods that are beautiful and highly functional fishing sticks. First to bring you collapsible REC guides on their saltwater series the CrossCurrent, Loomis is the first to incorporate these guides into their freshwater series as well. The Max GLX fly rod series utilize custom REC components and an eye catching Deep Blue color to provide one classy fly rod series. There are only three rods available, a 4-weight, 5-weight and 6-weight in this powerful series and all are 9 feet in length. The smooth flexing ferrule system designed by G. Loomis allows for these fly rods to be a traveler’s favorite 4-piece series. You’ll not find any flat spots here! The fast taper design gives these fly rods their quickness and the GLX graphite provides the strength to carry those big ole bugs and long lengths of fly line. Muscle, speed and touch, is there any reason why you shouldn’t own all three G. Loomis Max GLX fly rod, we think not!
